Happy April, where is this year going?

What first of the month traditions do you have (if any)? At school we used to do the "pinch, punch, first of the month" with a symbolic pinch and punch as the words were spoken, followed by "No returns" and then you said "White Rabbits". I don't know why, I've always found rabbits a bit creepy, especially white ones.

I was going to make up some elaborate untruth, but all the ones I could think of were a bit serious.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend, I'm off to Wales later, sun is out, life's pretty good.

we had to say 'white rabbits' before anything else otherwise the penalty was 'a kick and a punch for the first of the month'....hope you have/had lovely day.

oh, kicking is rather violent, I recall also that that was only up until midday, then all jokes and assaults were off.

It has been a nice day thanks, although I am exhausted now.

A rabbit goes into a bar on a Monday and asks for a cheese and leek toastie. He takes his meal over to a corner and begins nibbling. He enjoys his snack so much that on Tuesday the rabbit returns for another cheese and leek toastie and then again on Wednesday. On Thursday, feeling a little more adventurous the rabbit comes in and opts for a cheese and tomato toastie. The rabbit isn't seen for the next two days until, on Sunday, he crawls into the bar looking very pale and thin with gooey red eyes.

"What happened to you?" the barman asks, "You look terrible!"
"Oh it's been a horrible couple of days." The Rabbit moans. "I've been so unwell!"
"Oh no!" The barman says, concerned, "Have you seen a doctor?"
"Yes." The rabbit croaks feebly, "He says I've been mixing mi' toasties!"

Aha! Mixinmitoasties! Err, myxomatosis? Oh nevermind... *wanders off sullenly*

That was a complicated joke!

LOL, I had to look after a rabbit that was recovering from myxomatosis for a neighbour. It wheezed and looked awful and I was sure it would die before the got back from their holiday, even though I faithfully picked it dandelion leaves every day. Luckily it survived.

Was it busy at the shop?

I don't always tell jokes, but when I do they are insanely long with stupid punchlines!

Aw, I'm sure your bunny nurturing skills is second to none and Mr. Flopsy was most appreciative of your care. *nods*

Shop wasn't so busy as far as custom was concerned, though town was still packed. I had enough to do with bookherding though to leave me a wearied little beast by the end of it. Not quite sure either how I managed not only to fill up the shelves and restock the cupboard as best could be acheived but also still sell more stuffs in my time on the till than my minion. Can't get the staff these days.

Oh well, I hopes your weekend has been pleasant and your week ahead be pleasanter still. I is yet somewhat tired, somewhat lost, but if I haven't the strengths to document my thoughts tonight I should have the Coliseum all to myself tomorrow so will see about sharing then. Do take care in the meanwhiles. *hugs*

I can't think of anything!

I do love that song, though. I don't think Grace blinks at all.

it's such a great song, I wish they'd done others that were as good.
