Dancing

Enjoyed Strictly tonight.
Had to DVD it (is that an acceptable description?) as I was out for the first half hour which happily meant that when I watched it, I could fast forward through all the pre-dance lame jokes and practice footage which I'd already seen. I do like Brucey, but the jokes are very rarely funny and I always feel rather sorry for the nervous dancers waiting to go out on to the floor having to listen to them. Did anyone else think that Craig seemed rather shocked by Bruce's jest? Sometimes the jokes fall a bit flat, in my mind.

It was lovely to see Jodie looking so graceful and gorgeous, Rachel dancing so brightly and Austin moving so wonderfully across the floor. I seem to be becoming a fan of Brendan's dancing lately. I still don't think I'd vote for him or Lisa, but his dancing has delighted me for the last two weeks, very appealing.

A surprising selection of my friends are fans of the show and I'm feeling slightly sad that it's halfway through already. Anyway, I don't mind if any of the bottom 4 go out really, but I hope that Matthew and Christine don't have to do the dance off. I really liked her dress, I'd wear that if they made it about a foot shorter :-)

Wasn't Jodie great tonight! Undermarked again, IMHO. I voted for her this time, it's the first time in ages I've actually been at home for the show. I had to grudgingly admit that Brendan and Lisa were very good tonight.

Jodie was fab, so glad she performed the dance so well at the right time. Unlike Cherie who I thought was terrible, but the judges were quite nice to her anyway. They seem to have their favourites don't they?

They sure do. I thought Cherie was about the same level as Heather tonight but she got an extra point from each judge over Heather.

Mmm, I feel sorry for Heather, but I wouldn't be too upset if tonight was her last dance. It's all subjective though I guess and I'm not a dancer so my opinions are uninformed and based mostly on the performance side, I don't notice which end of the foot people lead with, that's for sure.

Yeah, that's a fair point actually, we can only judge on the performance, not the technical stuff. I wouldn't be sorry if Heather went tonight either. I do think it could be her.

I thought it was fair that Andrew went, did you? Ola looked resigned to it as soon as they had finished the dance off.

Absolutely. Heather was so much better in the dance off than she had been earlier, Andrew had to go. He was very gracious about it on It Takes Two tonight.

yes, he seems like a decent chap. Did you enjoy the professionals dance on Sunday? Anton and Vincent make me laugh (in a good way).

Yes, it was great fun!

Andrew has been on borrowed time for a while. Still think Don shouldn't have gone when he did.
My money is on little Johnny Sargent going tonight.
I wish I could dance.

Well, Gari you should learn! Meet new friends and so on :-)
I think John Sargent should go tonight, but it depends upon the Great British public, doesn't it? If he gets into the bottom two it's goodbye for sure.
Heather and John in the dance off?
