We've been having our bathroom updated, I'm going to moan about it now. When I say updated, I mean everything taken out and replaced with new, including tiles and floor. The only thing that are the same are the window and light. It was supposed to take a week.
The good news is that it should be finished today, which makes it 8 days of having to go out to the loo in the shopping centre, washing our hair in the kitchen and cleaning our teeth in the sink. Add in dust everywhere, radio 1, doors left open when it's minus 2 outside and not being able to park in my own drive and you might imagine that it's been a bit of a tricky week and a half. It will be great, but it has been as bad as I expected even though the plumber is really nice and has done his best not to be a pain. I must keep telling myself it was worth it, the bathroom was actually embarrassingly worn and unhygienic so we had to do it and as number one son said, it makes us appreciate the luxury of having hot running water available. I hate being a grown up sometimes.
Today it would have been my grandmother's birthday. It's still hard to think of her without missing her, but I am trying to remember good things. Had a dream where I went on holiday to an island where many of my deceased great-aunts lived. It was so good to see them, but when I tried to photograph them the pictures came out with just the background and then I had to go back.
We haven't got snow here, but it hasn't got above minus 2 so far today and it's beginning to get dark now. If anything falls from the sky it won't be rain. I am warming myself with some Japanese rock 'n' roll as raved about by Julian Cope in his JAPROCKSAMPLER book. It reminds me of various Gong related bands so far, which is no bad thing.

We have been watching the TV series Grimm, has anyone else? It's quite fun, but strange not having anyone else to discuss it with. For the record neither Mr Bethnoir nor me can see why the main character would bother with his wussy and irritating girlfriend, they have no chemistry and she's just dull.

Not much else to report really, my blood test didn't show anything unexpected, keep taking the tablets, which is good, children are gradually getting better, there are foxes in the garden in the evening and the friendly grey tabby cat keeps trying to come in when I open the back door. Hope you're all okay and warm, Sayonara.
