Lotus Feed

Thanks to Mick Mercer's list of top albums of 2011, I am listening to Lotus Feed a Cologne based band who create a beautiful, if not entirely unheard, sound

Have you found any music you'd recommend recently?

ooh, thank you very much, I shall be checking those out. I have listened to quite a lot of MiseryLab thanks to last.fm, but the rest are all new to me. *excited*

Heh, I honestly thought that song was a cover of "The Figurehead" by The Cure at first. :) It's not a bad sound, though - I like it. :)

I am in desperate need of some new music/bands to listen to, so I unfortunately have nothing to offer at the moment. My playlist is feeling very tired.

Oh, I did manage to think of something. :) This is an interesting artist I've heard on our local radio station and keep meaning to check out. I find his sound to be intriguing - on the following page you can watch a video of his and also download an .mp3.

It is rather Cure-like, although I hadn't noticed that with the rest of the album.

I'm feeling in a particularly trad-goth mood at the moment. You can't get much more trad-goth than Angels of Liberty:

I'm particularly fond of Weaving Spiders Come Not Here, which is a great song with a great name.

I also like early The Last Dance-ish sounds of Soulscape:

Angels of Liberty are indeed none more trad goth and a very fine example of the genre. I tried to listen to Soulscape on Spotify -eep, apparently there is more than one band called this as the one on there do not sound like early Last Dance! The reverbnation one are much more up my alley, quite a Neffy bassy sound and a nice gruff vocal, thanks for the suggestion :-)
